The room at Il Vialetto Nei Sassi was cozy and comfortable, with a bathroom that had both a bidet and a shower. I felt at home and clean after a long day of exploring Matera.
The only thing I didn't love was the private bathroom with a bath. It just wasn't my thing, but I'm sure others would enjoy it.

We had a great stay at a cozy little cave with modern amenities. The location was perfect, just a short walk to all the attractions. The host, Ivana, was extremely helpful and even provided drinks for us. The cave was beautifully decorated and had a comfortable bed.
There were a few minor inconveniences, such as the bed being too bouncy and the limited cooking facilities. However, these did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the stay.

The value for our money at Il Vialetto Nei Sassi was exceptional, with a recently refurbished and spotlessly clean room. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the "sassi" area and close to restaurants and shops. The staff, especially Ivana, were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure we had a memorable stay.
The breakfast option could have been improved with a wider selection of items.

I booked this place for a unique experience and wasn't disappointed. The cave-like atmosphere and creative furnishings felt like home. The apartment was just refurbished and spotlessly clean, providing a comfortable and quiet sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and even had a lighted cistern of historical value. The location in the "sassi" area was perfect, close to restaurants and shops. The owners were friendly and helpful, providing breakfast products and delicious Italian coffee.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This place was absolutely mind-blowing! The location was super convenient, and the property itself was a jaw-dropping cave that was beautifully decorated. The modern bathroom was top-notch, and the fact that there was wi-fi and electric kettle made it even better. Ivana, our hostess, was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. She even provided us with juice, milk, and water. Plus, the fact that pets were allowed and there was no smoking on-site was a big bonus. Can't wait to return to this fantastic apartment!

I always come back here for the friendly staff who gave me a bottle of water at night. It suits my needs with Wi-Fi, an electric kettle, cookware, and cots. Great for business trips.

Beautiful, comfortable cave accommodation with naturally cool temperature. Baby crib provided. Window screen keeps out mosquitoes. Double doors and circular fan provide comfort. Convenient location near parking garage. Friendly and helpful hostess fixed WiFi. Great experience staying in a cave. Clean, silent, and quiet for a good night's sleep. Fantastic refurbished apartment in the "sassi" area. Unique experience.

This place was amazing! First of all, the location was spot-on. It was right in the heart of the city, close to all the main attractions and the bustling hub. Secondly, the cave apartment itself was a unique and authentic experience. It was beautifully renovated and had all the modern comforts you could ask for. And let me tell you, the cistern was a highlight! It was such a cool feature, and standing on the glass cover was so much fun. Plus, the apartment stayed nice and cool, even with the hot weather outside.
One thing to keep in mind is the challenge of bringing your luggage from the parking area to the cave. We didn't pay close attention to the directions and ended up carrying too much, making it a bit more difficult than it should have been.
